Author response: Mechanical thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke patients with left ventricular assist device: More information, more evidence.

We thank Sun et al. for their interest in our article on mechanical thrombectomy in patients with left ventricular assist device (LVAD) [1]. We absolutely concur with their views that further studies are necessary to confirm our findings and there is a need for elucidating the best treatment strategy in this high-risk population.
